Keyboard w/ wii

I just bought a USB keyboard to use with my consoles (wii and ps2). Everything is working fine with the ps2, Metal Gear Online, etc. but when I plug it into my wii nothing happens. (no caps lock/num lock led, nothing.)

There was this dude earlier today who was saying he plays FarCry with his mouse and keyboard. Is there a way to use it also for typing messages instead of using the goddamned virtual keyboard?

No, you can't use any keyboard/mouse in any way on the Wii.  Next time look things up before buying stuff.  You're just going to have to wait for Nintendo to either release firmware updates to add drivers to the Wii so it can support more keyboards, or for Nintendo to release some first party keyboard.

OP HERE, well it doesn't really bother me, since I paid 5$ for this cheap ass keyboard and I'll use it for my ps2.

I just think releasing a internet browsing device without the capability of using an external keyboard is fucking dumb.
