Steam down?

So I just bought a copy of hl2 episode one, and now Steam won't start. I have the game preinstalled but the physical media is something I like to have.

Every time I try to log on, it keeps giving me an error that it can't connect to the steam servers. Is anyone else having this problem. I'm getting ticked off.

Yes, I am, and I posted it in another thread a minute ago. Their website is non-responsive aswell, leading me to believe it is on their end. Hopefully this will be rectified sooner than later >< can't even play singleplayer ><
