shogun total war-like strategy games

i saw some warhammer strategy game where there is a strategy map and supposedly you fight battles organized on the strategy map, sort of like medieval total war

um what is it

oh and i want medieval total war 2 and a decent hearts of iron game, which one is the best? Also i don't have a graphics card, give me some protips
