This game wasn't even all that good, it's aged horribly. If a single game can be responsible for killing other systems, you gotta know the "gamer" population is in a world of shit.

Maybe, you just aren't a seasoned gamer. FF7 is made famous for the fact that it was easily the most in-depth RPG at the time, and besides shitty graphics, had pretty damn good Cut-Scenes which could put a lot of PS2 games to shame. Don't be a nazi.

Besides all of that, it had an amazing cast, except for a few who should be killed. Namely Cait-Sith, and Yuffie. Maybe you are just one of those R-Tards or sit behind a game of SoCom or something other and cry out 'Head Shot' every ten seconds.

Fuckin... I never really liked FF7 but I wouldn't call it "WORST GAME EVAR OMG FUXX"  I dunno, I liked Chrono Trigger and FF3... or 6... I can't remember.

Final Fantasy VII single-handedly made the Playstation the must-have system of the 32-bit era, if only for teaching other developers how to fill-up all that extra space on a CD and how to cut down on load times.

As a game, however, it was never very good.  It could have been, though, if they'd spent more time fixing the numerous bugs, fleshing out and explaining the story and characters more, and re-writing all the characters so they wouldn't be fucking morons.
