Portable versions of games

two days ago someone posted a rapidshare link with portable starcraft - land edition on /b/. Following that, I found a russian forum where guys are making very small ripped versions of games (there's a beta of counter strike too).
I googled a lot to find moar like those, but alas, I found nothing.
***So I come to you /games/, what where else can I find these "portable" versions of games? or tutorials on making them***

Note: I'm not trying to promote warez, that's why I didn't post links.
