I'm loving my NDS, but that's half because I'm catching up on GBA games with it too. Beat Phoenix Wright, Castlevania, and NSMB a while ago and haven't played much actual DS since, though I'm highly looking forward to several fall/winter releases.
If I had a PSP I think I'd want:
Tekken: Dark Ressurection
Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth
Mega Man Maverick Hunter X
Mega Man Powered Up
Popolocrois
I don't know, I don't think it's worth buying a psp now. Maybe when they cut the price again.

PSP ftw. I haven't heard of any DS mods/hacks yet.
I got a 1 gig stick for 35$ for my PSP. The emulators alone are worth it, plus the built in browser that can just borrow anyone connections. Hell at work I can connect to two apartment complexes as well as a few residentail.
PSP actually has lots of games I like too. More so that DS would (I don't really find poking things with a stick enjoyable). But when I am done playing my PSP games I can allways boot up classic snes, nes or gens roms. Hell I've even put a good 8+ hours into Final Fantasy IV Advance via gpSP.
They are just two diffrent handhelds for diffrent types of people, I don't see the appeal in DS, but I see how other can. It's a cool systems which tries somthing new, adding a whole new dimension to games.

I can't speak for which is better to hack or whatnot. But far as I'm concerned, if you're just playing legit, then it's DS all the way. Two screens, touchscreen, etc. Advance Wars DS has me up all night, Kirby Canvas Curse was a great touchscreen game, Nintendogs is a nice daily diversion, etc. Got myself an Opera web browser and a Japanese-English dictionary, even.
Far as I see, PSP is just being treated like a portable console and movie player, and I say screw that -- it's not like I'm so addicted I can't be away from my console for a few hours, and I got a laptop that can play full-sized DVDs, not some crappy new PSP-specific movie format.
And that's even before I consider the cost of each one -- I won't turn down the better console just cos it costs more, but if I can go better _and_ cheaper, all the better.
But hey, that's just how I feel. Personal choice and all.

Portable console and movie player sounds like a great idea to me. Seeing as how I only have a Sega Saturn. Lets notforget PSP can play just about and downloaded video file.

Sure, if that works for you, great. Me, I'm happier having a laptop to do all the fancy media stuff on, and a DS for the innovative gameplay. I don't need or want a portable console -- I want something that carries gameplay innovation with it.
