"Do not remove the memory card..."

"Do not remove the memory card or turn off the system".
The truest words in history.

I just lost a 150 hour+ Disgaea save due to accidently pressing the power button while saving.

I am now looking for a suitable place to hang myself from. Think a PS2 controller would work as snare?

LOL

learn to make backup saves/use additional memory cards.

only an idiot keeps their means of survival in 1 place.

How the hell does one play Disgaea for over a 100 hours without being bored?

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-10 12:45

You can put another 150 hours into it from scratch.  No problem.

Hello, stupid.

(Nowhere in the below post am I refering to disgaea unless mentioned)

Games that allow multiple ways to accomplish your goals.

A game ends for me when I want it to end.

I don't play for the developers reasons, I play for my own after all.

The developers reasons for playing a game is usually to get the "ending" or complete all of said games content.

My reasons are when I feel satisfied enough with my progress that I can leave and that's "my ending".

It could be 2 hours into a game or right before the last boss.

And I prefer games with appropriate visuals. I hate games that require you to grind or do something boring.

I don't look for something to complain about when I play a game.

If a games fun, I won't complain about it being too "short" or too "easy".

That said, I haven't liked a single game on ps2/xbox/cub.

(I don't own an xbox and never will)

You're a crazy perfectionist that loves to grind... grind... grind...

Of course, those 150 hours had been accumulated over a year or so, picking it up from time to time to grind some item dungeons.

Those endless dungeons with their multicolored floors are so appealing... Each dungeon conquest providing some kind of power-uppable resident, together with a more powerful weapon, which contains new residents in need of conquering. It's a evil circle.

I've actually played Disgaea for about 500 hours, but started a new file just so I could go through the experience of creating a 500hour file all over again. :3

The fact that so many books still name the Beatles "the greatest or most significant or most influential" rock band ever only tells you how far rock music still is from becoming a serious art. Jazz critics have long recognized that the greatest jazz musicians of all times are Duke Ellington and John Coltrane, who were not the most famous or richest or best sellers of their times, let alone of all times. Classical critics rank the highly controversial Beethoven over classical musicians who were highly popular in courts around Europe. Rock critics are still blinded by commercial success: the Beatles sold more than anyone else (not true, by the way), therefore they must have been the greatest. Jazz critics grow up listening to a lot of jazz music of the past, classical critics grow up listening to a lot of classical music of the past. Rock critics are often totally ignorant of the rock music of the past, they barely know the best sellers. No wonder they will think that the Beatles did anything worth of being saved.

You know what I noticed? People are starting to use the words "troll" and "trolling" on 4chan again this summer. I don't know how I should feel about this.
