Current Videogame demographic = shit

Console Industries in a perpetual state of chaos.

People who've been playing videogames for 10 years = In a dire state of quality deprivation.

That's the only explanation for shitfests like ICO, Katamari, Disgaea, SoTC, God of War, Devil May Cry, Metal Gear, (I'm sure I could list more but I hardly give a damn to remember half of them) making anywhere near competent sales. Not to mention the ongoing roster of extremely shitty jrpgs.

People who've only been playing videogames for 5 years = Too stupid to not see shit if it was infront of their faces.

You know the industry is complete shit when there's demand for a game like Kingdom Hearts in an existing demographic, to not only be made but sell well.

Last salvation for anyone who want's something new from developers who know how to make games not suck?

Handhelds? Well some handheld games are good but. Their development is dictated by a batteries life. You can only have games made a specific way. Not to mention you have to recharge the damn thing. And any self respecting person cares about their stuff won't be leaving the house with a handheld unless it's for a vacation I imagine.

But that's beside the point. If I decide to leave the house, not only would I not want my nice stuff outside where it could get damaged, stolen or lost. But I leave the house TO leave what's at my house. I go looking for something else to do that I can't do at home.

So where're the good console games hmm?

Ok- my thoughts on all of above-

Listen- not all of the people in the 10+ years demographic are working (been playin since I was 4(YA RLY), i'm just about 15 mow)

my first game memories- Duck hunt, metroid, and zelda.
then my uncle gave me his SNES because he started getting into computergames more. (I shoulda done the same, cept' I still had a freakin DOS comp, I was still 6)
Played Super metroid, SMRPG, ZeldaIII, mechwarrior, and countless other games. Finally, i got a Playstation, and some games for it, and then the N64- Goldeneye was freakin awesome.
FF7 was one I could play endlessly too. PS2, we all know about KH, but Wildarms 3 was fun for what it was (one of the only battle systems where people accualy move, and still start on a face off.)
As of now, i'm playing a hell of alot of mmo's and playing with roms/emus.

mmo's i play (alot):
KAL Online(SCREW YOU- its fun as heck, untill a +16g40 w/ X-blow lv 4 breaks on you!)
Ragnarok Online (Both a P/S and iRO- once I learn korean i'll play kRO)
Maplestory(LV46 Fighter and proud- MAGES ARE FOR n00bs!)
FlyFF
GUNZ - not a real mmo, but still fun as hell.
