Why do people spooge all over final fantasy?

I mean, I played and enjoyed final fantasy games back in the day. But these games expire, just like most other games. Certain games age well, and can be played easily years after release, like terranigma. But nothing really good has come out of final fantasy that's been worth sticking around for so long.

Why do people still like this shit?

If you don't care about the stuff that the Final Fantasy series is bad at (that is, everything except graphics and ease of play), then FF is the best thing out there.  There is no easy-to-play eye-candy better than FF.
