PS2 Modchips

Name: Anonymous 2006-05-15 15:29

I'm thinking of getting my PS2 modded and I don't really want to bother with Swapdisks and the like. There's a place locally that use NH9 and Subzero Ice chips... but its hard to find info on those chips. Are they any good? Any recommendations? Or should I just suck it up and get a fliptop + swapdisk?

But the thing that's preventing me from getting a fliptop+swapdisk is that it can't play PS1 games. I really wanna play that Hokuto game D:

Hmm didnt know that you couldnt play ps1 games, any reason why? i mean you get 2cds (with swap magic), one to start DVDRs and one to start CDRs so i cant see why ps1 games wouldnt work.

Thats exactly what the CDR one is supposed to do. It works fine.

Q. Does Swap Magic work with PSX backup and/or import games?
A. Pure and simple NO! The Swap Magic Discs are designed to give the best possible performance for PlayStation2 games only. PSX games has not been considered at all in the development, and will not be in the future! To play PSX backups, you will need another backup solution, and should not choose the Slide-Tool.
