I can't get very far in Rogue

ADOM is better

I've played this damn game for 13 years, since 3.1.3, and still haven't finished it. Lost a job to the game, too, once.

Browsed the site and I was suprised you can be a tourist!

played some nethack recently, got quite bored at sucking so i switched over to ZAngband instead and managed to hold on a little longer there.

Finally ascended this game... a bit easy with -100AC, and every god damned intrinsic in the world.

Lesson learned: Jumping fucking rocks, especially if you cast haste self 100 times to get like 10000 turns of very fast so you can wear boots of jumping.

Ascended a Rogue, did Val, Bar, Pri, Wiz (>>11) before.

No farming this game, so a low score, 2.8M. Dual-wielding +6 Grayswandir with a +6 silver saber.  Standard ascension kit, gauntlets of dexterity, amulet of magical breathing (never found boots of jumping).  Spell of jumping at 14% fail, combined with the C bug astral was made really easy (although I fought two player monsters, neither had Vorpal Blade though as I hear is dangerous, I'd have pulled a couple amulets of life saving in that case).

This game took 3 days, my previous ascension 4, not bad.

That's impressive.  Iter Vehemen ad Nectem is loads better though.  It's a tad easier, but other than that everything else kicks like six kinds of ass.
