3D died when Alone in the Dark first came out.  I'm glad no new games tried to be 3D after that.

YEP! Everyone who used to play consoles back in the day like myself play nothing but handhelds. Are you suprised? Scared? Oh noes consoles don't have shit at the moment, yet, they did before, you obviously missed out back then but HEY surely you can go out and enjoy ALL the totally quality titles for your cub/box/shitstation that are anywhere near as good as what we played back then and are playing now PORTABLY. Well, not like you'll ever be able to tell the difference, and you spend the money just the same which is all that matters to all 3 of those guys, well maybe not Satoru? Um, I do own a DS, (but I don't hate sony, I know there are some idiots here who'd proclaim I do for simply owning a DS "here's me laughing and weeping for the current state of the videogame demographic"). And I grew up with atari, to nes and sms, snes and genesis, playstation saturn n64, dreamcast, and so on.

When I said what I did in >>9 I meant, why should the people who enjoyed and supported games back in the day (the ones who used to make up the majority and were there first), why should they be reduced to only using handhelds?

I personally haven't enjoyed a game since dreamcast, there isn't shit on ps2 that I have liked. The only thing on gamecube that was decent was ssbm and I don't own an xbox.

Why should home consoles be shit? God you still don't get it, maybe you can cry all day because you're not landlocked to a TV and a couch, but I for one am quite glad to be portable. If there WERE games on home consoles don't you think I'd miss the TV? More gameplay is being had on personal 3 inch screens than whatever brand hdtv/electron shooting tube both of which are heavy as hell. When did I ever suggest I was pitying myself? I'm pitying the poor suckers who think that gaming should be done in front of a heavy ass monitor.

We aren't supposed two do shit besides continue enjoying the hell out of 12 buttons portably. It's not a reduction, if you really fucking think screen size is a big issue, go play you some hires xbox450 textures and of course *quality* gameplay. You really need to get your priorities correct on what the hell a videogame is and stop pissing about screen size. Videogames are PLAYED not watched.
