Though not officially announced by [[Blizzard Entertainment]], [[Gamespot]] reported the upcoming massive multiplayer online role-playing game World of Starcraft to be first released in [[South Korea]] in 2007, which will then be translated to other languages. Little detail about the game is known at the time, but Gamespot claims it will have the three original races from the 1998 classic [[Starcraft]], namely [[Terran]], [[Zerg]], and [[Protoss]], as well as a secret fourth race, which is speculated by many fans to be the [[Xel'Naga]].
The gameplay is reportedly to be that of a MMORPG combined with first or third person shooting game, where hundreds of players simultaneously engage in online combat. As a player in the Terran race, the person can choose to start off either in the Fleet Academy or the Mobile Infantry. After graduating from the academy, one can pilot popular Starcraft vehicles like the Battlecruisers or the vultures. In the mobile infantry, the player will be able to play as a Marine, a Firebat, a Medic, or a Ghost. When playing as a Zerg, one starts off as a Zergling, but will rise through the ranks to become more powerful and special Zerg units. It is reported that the Zerg will be more action oriented than the other two, as it requires constant fighting to gain stats. Finally, the Protoss will play like the Terrans in that they have two choices; to become a Zealot or a Templar. The zealots will be able to do basic ground combat and command powerful vehicles, but the templars are able to do castings, reconnaisance, and much more, for they are the strategists force-wielders of the Conclave.
