Hey, does anyone remember, like, all those amiga games? They were pretty cool. Like, uh, K240. Someone ought to do an internet-capable remake of that (Fragile Allegiance didn't count). Ramble, ramble.

Rome AD 92 was also not bad. You'd run around Herculaneum until you died of the volcano that engulfed it, whereupon you would be banned from the only boat out of town for being a mere slave, despite gotten money earlier. Then you'd start again, buy a dagger with the money this time and kill the boatman, whereupon there's nobody left who can row the boat. Read a walkthrough, start again, steal a citizen's toga from the baths leaving a naked guy running around trying to get on the boat later. Get onto the boat with your new disguise... only to get to Rome without any money and eventually starve to death because you're stupid and forgot to buy a dagger back in Herculaneum. That game was awesome.

Does anyone else have similarly fond memories?

I own two Amigas but I've had to splice parts between them as they gave out. Someone ruined the case on one, I broke the RF modulator on another and had to swap the motherboards, someone levered off my spacebar and I had to swap the keyboard, the disk drive won't eject disks unless I pull them out manually...

I've been considering somehow wiring up my Amiga's motherboard into the PC case, perhaps it can be powered from the same type of connector that powers CD drives and hard drives, and it just takes a TV In card,a PCMCIA network card and some kbd/mouse adaptors to make a neat all-in-one system.

But, I'm not in all that much of a hurry to replay my old Amiga games, so I'll just settle for an Amiga emulator, for now.
