A pie is in danger!!!

OK here is the deal: My mother baked some sort of traditional "Pirog" apple pie (her side of the family is from Russia), but thinks the thing went a little underbaked. Problem is, her grnadmother apparently told her that raw dough was the most evil foodstuff on earht, and of course if we do eat the pie we are going ot dia a horrible horrible death. So she is about to throw the pie to the garbage, and only by heroic effort I could convince her to give the poor thing a second chance, atleast until I can show her proof of it's innocence.

Now, I am pretty sure that whole story is a BS Urban Legend to put off children from eating raw dough and stuff, but I can't find any proof to substain my theory. Please guys, help me to save this pie!

the pie is dead by now. at least i hope.
