stolen laptop

the laptop is an acer aspire one and is pass protected. i just need to kno how to reset or bypass the pass. would help alot so if anyone knos let me kno

If Windows XP is installed, try booting it into Safe Mode and hope there is no password on the administator account, then log in and remove the user's password.

Else, boot with Live CD if you want the files, then format. (you should format a stolen computer anyways)

if u still want windows then get ur hands on a windows OS disc and boot it up and reinstall, i would go with linux like backtrack but thts my preference, back track .iso's are free and u download it then burn to a disc and then install, and if ur a mac lover ( im a mac hater ) then get their disc and install, its all pretty easy, but if u want the original OS then download a copy of bart PE or anyother windows on the go fixer and it will remove the pass, if u want a challenge then then try hacking the pass with any security linux OS , i find tht the fun way, GOOD LUCK and dont get in trouble :)
