good gaming laptop thats not alienware?

Name: NoobestNoob 2011-12-25 15:12

So I broke my laptop like five minutes before I left campus to go home. Super mad at myself and it was a mac book pro.

So my parents gave me a 500 USD limit on the next laptop.

Since my PC desktop is getting around to be 6 years old, and it wasnt the best to begin with.  I want my new laptop to be for gaming too.

I don't play high graphics games like SWOTOR CoD or battle field.  So, that's why I'm here to ask you guys for advice tips w/e.

so what site would have good prices on decent ( by my standards) gaming laptops. As long as its good enough to play League of Legends smoothly I'll be happy. Also, once referred to a site or laptop I'll keep posting in this thread to see if parts like the processor or graphics card are good enough or not.

Laptops should be bought with build quality in mind. Fuck shitty mass-market laptops, their bendy plastic cases and awful keyboards. Specs be damned if they're nothing but a throw-away computer, quality is what matters. And fuck 15"+ screens too.

Therefore a business laptop such as a Thinkpad or Latitude is the logical choice. Or perhaps an Apple laptop, if that's your cup of tea.

I'd import an X300 if the choice was mine.
