a nub and his question.

i am hoping this board can help me with a little problem.
I am building a computer for a friend using parts from my former computer, and when I plug it in and hit the power button it runs but there is no video.
so far I have tried just one ram stick in each lane, different psu's, different video cards, on board video, different cpu's, and even different monitors.
So, do I just have bad ju-ju or am I just an idiot and over looking something?

did you check the monitor power cord?

ok, seriously, check all your connections, try a different psu, reset the bios (i hear there is some website called google that can help you with this step) and try again.

Try resetting the bios by taking out the battery directly, waiting a few minutes and disconnect everything on the motherboard. reconnect only the essentials (Ram, CPU, PSU, monitor, Keyboard). If nothing happens try connecting a graphics card (if none present). Try using memories you know that work. if nothing works consider that the Motherboard might be damaged...
