Quick file concatenation?

Anyone know how I can merge (concatenate) 2 or more files into one, without actually going through and copying all the data - And more specifically on windows (ntfs)?

It should be theoretically easy if the file sizes are exact multiples of the cluster length. Otherwise could be done with an abstraction layer - like a virtual file that "redirects" to several underlying files on arbitrary filesystems. Just can't seem to find anything of the sort already done.

It just pains me to redundantly read and write gigabytes of data to be able to access a split archive.

I dont know how to do this but your topic intrigues me. What sort of files are they?

Well, in this case 7zip archives a few gigs each, split into 200MB parts.

7zip and winrar concatenates the files for you, just make sure all the parts are in the same folder and then just extract the first archive.
