HP Pavilion recovery disc?

I...  Need some help.

My laptop's hard drive crashed and burned. 

I bought a new drive and installed XP, but the laptop continues crashing while loading windows.

My best guess is that the laptop hardware requires drivers not included in the standard XP install--I need drivers or even a recovery disk image to get this fucker working again.  I've had no luck finding them and HP only offers a program that will make a recovery disk from a WORKING system.

Laptop model is HP Pavilion DV6835NR.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

but if you say it still crashes after reinstall i would suggest to do a memory test.
