What is this connector on an old CD burner?

Name: Brad 2009-09-24 22:46

A friend wants to give me this CD burner. Problem is it's really old and I don't know if it's compatible with my motherboard because I don't know the type of connector it's using. Does anyone know what this big white connector is called?:

your picture leaves much to be desired.

My best guess is scsi.  I think you can find scsi to usb/firewire cables.

Looks like a 50 pin Centronics, that's ancient.

Maybe he's trying to figure out what it is. For historical purposes. Maybe he's trying to get his old machine to be in some computer history museum. But of course nobody ever thinks of things like this.

#4 speaks the truth.  Looks like an old SCSI device.
