uTorrent and seeding

Hi /g/uys, tech problem here :O

Strange problem here :

Trying to seed torrents with uTorrent. However, I can only "upload" when I'm downloading it. Also, the upload speed goes in link with the download speed.

For example, I'm downloading "Teen Cheerleaders 15" at 1mbp/s, and I upload at my maximum (100kbp/s). Now, I'm manually reducing my download speed at 15kbp/s and it won't upload anything.

Then, when the download is over, it won't seed at all.

Ports are open, firewall is open, uTorrent is set correctly, there's people leeching, so it's clearly a problem from my side.

And there's no ISP throttling because I could upload at my maximum a few minutes ago.

can you tell me how you undid seeding I don't want to seed at all

Campus internet usage is tracked closely by the ISP which is the campus....

if you want to hide your torrent client you might want to change the port utorrent uses to port 80

If you don't know even how to do that you should probably not be downloading anything.

My torrent client (Deluge) also does that. When I seed it shows leeches but none of them are in my group, ever.

Quick question...

I have been asked by someone that I don't know to meet them and install 12 architectural design programs (that I pirated). He's offering me a lot of money to do it too. I did my research on the guy and he does in fact work for a large architect design firm locally. I did not mention that the software was pirated and he did not bother to ask. What I am nervous about is that the software is worth well over $50k and I don't want to be caught in a sting operation. Do I go to the meeting?
