help!

I just opened my dad's 4 year old desktop. It's got a celeron D processor at 2.8ghz (single core). It had one 8mm fan on top of the processor heatsink and one fan on the side of the case with a funnel type thing to add air to this fisrt heatsink/fan configuration.

It just so happens that this second 8mm fan made a terrible racket, and I changed it to the back of the case and got rid of this funnel thingie...

Do you think the airflow is good for this type of processor?

idle temperature has risen slightly from 50 c to 53 or so... but it's a lot less noisier like this (cheap case and fans)

pic very related; it's my professional mspaint pro edition scheme: http://imgur.com/Fq9dO

Check the tech specs for the CPU - as long as its temp remains within the recommended guidelines it should be fine.
