Power Director 7 Vista Freeze

I've been working on slimming down this years family holiday video and closed Powerdirector because it was getting a bit slow.

I'm trying to reopen the project but now it just totally crashes when I try and load the blasted thing, getting stuck at "Update Timeline Data"

This sucks cause I've lost about 4 hours of work. Anyone got any fixes?
