Reformatting XP, just a quick question

Reformatting Windows XP home, and I was wondering if the data on my slave hard drive is automatically maintained when I reformat the hard drive, or will that get wiped along with the primary?

If so, shall I unplug the power to the hard drive or something when I'm reformatting? Using the windows XP disk and whatnot, no special methods.

It shouldn't have any effect on the other drive. If you want to be super super safe about it, then I suppose you could unplug he other drive while you format the master drive.
