Microhpone

I have this issue with my PCs sound.

I wish to use my microphone, however, I cannot record ANY sound from it.
The strangest thing is that all sounds made by my PC (Mp3s, clicks, etc) are all recorded as if they were the microphone.
I've reinstalled the drivers, but nothing happened.

What should I do?

Im assuming you have windoze. you have your recording properties set to record stereo mix. on the volume control go to options then properties and change it to adjust volume for recording instead of playback
