linux distribution

does anyone know a good, lightweight liunx distribution i can dualboot on my laptop to acces internet, mp3s etc. really fast. like in a couple of seconds? some new motherboards seem to have a feature like that if you can't really understand what i mean (my english is not very good sorry

install gentoo

ubuntu is pretty good

If you're looking for a barebone Linux distro, your best bet is Slackware.
