Files not showing?

Name: Anonymous 2008-12-23 11:43

So I have these two specific folders, both picture folders, I have obviously tried checking show hidden files, show system files etc, nothing worked. Both folders do have something within them, properties shows them having 900kb and 3mb size for the folders although oddly it says there is only one file in each, when I'm almost certain there should be more. Any help would be great thanks.

Try going to the location of the folders through the command prompt.

Goto Start --> run --> and type "cmd" (or if you're using Vista, Windows logo button --> search --> and type "cmd" into the search field)

Now it should say the name and version number of Windows and

C:\Documents and Settings\username

type "cd" and the location of where these folders are. Once you're done with that, type "dir". See if any new files appear doing this.

PROTIP: If you use the dir command and there is too many files and it doesn't stop so you can read them all, just type in this

"dir | more" and keep pressing the enter key to scroll down.

Note: you can use "| more" for any command where the list of text just doesn't stop long enough for you to read. It is very useful, if you plan to spend a bit of time in the command prompt.
