Help with Vista

I just got a new computer with Vista on it and every minute or so my sound and video skip for a couple seconds and then return to normal. This is annoying as shit, and I was wondering if anyone here knew how to help me fix my problem. From what I've read online so far, it probably has something to do with my motherboard not working well with Vista.

I have four processors (AMD Phenom 9850 Quad-Core Processor) and two video cards (NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT.) I'm not sure what other information you might need.
