Fucking Windooze

I had dual op. lin and win. bought 1 gigs of ram. ram didn't work with the other rams I had previousley (of 215+215 mb). went with the comp to a store and they had a memory test.they made it for the one of 1G to work with one of 215 . went home, windows would not boot. it worked perfectly before. the only thing they did was play with the ram memories, had the test etc, wtf. i removed the one with 215, and let only the one with 1 G, still doesn't work. updated bios ... nothing. becoming an hero is not the answer  nor the solution... can you help?
