New computer---problems

Name: Anonymous 2008-08-05 21:47

Just brought a new computer and im having trouble

Intel e8400
asrock penryn 650i
2gb crucial ballistic tracer
coolermaster real power pro 650w

A few days ago i was runing a 15% OC with no voltage adjustments. After 15% i was unable to post, even if i only upped the fsb by only 1mhz and increased voltages across the board. I later installed a few more fans inside the case to provide better NB and ram cooling and now i cant post with a 10% overclock. What the hell is going on? my computer is runing VERY cool and my ram is underclocked. do i need to RMA my MOBO?

Or maybe your particular processor only passed QC for 3GHz, you know, the speed it's supposed to run at.

Not exactly something any company will let you complain about.

jesus, are you retarded? you're overclocking your shit, and wondering why it's not working?

I never intended to make an issue out of it with intel. I have no reason to believe the processor is bad. But my MOBO is built for overclocking and that is my main suspect at this point

your main suspect should be you, being a dumbass and ruininiating your shit.

Most people ignore Intel QC clocks as they dont need their processor to run for 10+ years

Doesn't matter if your mobo is made of gold if YOUR FUCKING PROCESSOR ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH.

Jesus! Some people live in their tiny-little processor boxes--
never once venturing outside its confines.
Sad, man.

Or maybe you're just too fucking old.
