Keyboard problem

I have tried hooking up many keyboards to my computer.  It won't recognize any of them.  I can't hook a mouse up either.  I need help, because I totally can't use this computer.  Thanks in advance.

USB keyboards and mice? The BIOS probably doesn't have USB support.
Get a PS/2 keyboard and mouse and update your BIOS.

PS2 as in the circular plugs, not the game console.

Yeah I saw that but I was still unsure why he would want to use playstation 2 gear when normal computer gear should be better
