Information Recovery from DVD

Name: Anonymous 2008-06-04 18:51

Before formatting my PC, I of course backed up many of my precious files. Being that I posses no external HDD, I used DVD-R.

One of the discs that I burned, for some damned reason, is showing no data. XP sees it as a blank writable CD, but there is obviously information written on the damned thing.

So, anybody know of any good data recovery techniques? Should I try making an image of the disc, and then try to get something out of the .iso? The only thing I'd really like to get back from the disc is my damn 4chan folder, which holds a 4 years in the making image collection.

check your system32 folder it usually stores the temp files for burning in there, and if there is a whole lot of other folders and files you need to remove them because they are spyware and will stop your computer from burning the correct imformation to disc and actually reading the disc after burning is complete
