I'm a driver for pizza hut. Whenever I work the day shift, hardly anybody orders anything, so I'm free to entertain myself however I want, which includes bringing in my macbok and hooking it up to their internet via ethernet.
So I did. It was a slow connection, but it worked. Without really thinking, I went to 4chan. Now I can't get on their internet anymore. The cables were plugged in and secure, but my mac simply won't connect, and keeps telling me that it knows that an ethernet cable is plugged in, but nothing is coming through it. Another guy who works there actually brings in his desktop PC when he gets bored. Internet works fine on that one, and he uses the same cord. So I'm speculating that maybe "they" found out that I was on 4chan, and decided to deny all interwebs to my computer. For that reason, I don't want to ask any managers about what's going on. I tried Vidalia/Tor, but that failed because in order to use a proxy, your computer still has to actually connect to the internet, which mine seems incapable of.
