DVD burner not recognizing blank media...

Name: Anonymous 2008-03-28 2:16

Ok, so here's the problem. initially i tried to burn data on these little 50 meg CD-R business cards but for some reason when i inserted the cards it said that though the cards could fit 51.1 megs on them, only 21.9 was available. i looked all over on the disc to see what was on there but there wasn't anything, hidden or not. i then noticed that the file system was something called UDF2.00. i looked around and it seems this is caused by Roxio's "Drag-to-Disc" application and that the only way to fix this problem is to either disable this for the specific drive or uninstall it altogether. I did that but then i got a whole new peoblem. now the drive wont recognize the blank media i put in. i get a "E:\ is not accessible. Incorrect function." error if there's a disc inside the drive and a 'please inert a disc into drive F:\' if there's not. regular DVD's or CDs, or anything with media already on it plays fine, but it doesn't wanna see blank media. i've even tried uninstalling roxio altogether but nothing changes. i reinstalled roxio just to see if it would repeate and sure enough it did. the blank media was detected but there was a portion of it missing and the file format was back...

i've tried looking in roxio forums and the like and no one has a definite answer for me. i donno wtf i'm supposed to do about this...,

You're all worthless. Thanks for the help. I've made more progress on my own. This is why I left forums in the first place, is because of 30-40+ yr old assholes that think it's funny to be fucking deuchbags. Nice guys nice. I hope I see you assholes bleeding on the street and when you say, Help me! I'll piss on your fucking face, and then shit in your mouth and watch you choke to death. Fuck you
