Desktop not showing on start up

So, I turned on my computer this morning and now all I get is a black screen with the mouse cursor on it.  Oddly enough the screen saver works. 

How do I fix this?  It was working fine last night.

I have VistAIDS (in b4 "I think I've found your problem")

Pay for the damn software.
