Backing up drivers

I installed my OS from a Toshiba Recovery Disc. I'd like to be running a basic XP install, without the bloat this comes with.
I have the XP disc (Pro, SP1) ready, but I don't know how to backup my drivers before running it. Can you guys help?

Get the damned drivers from the manufacturer's website.
