MSN hacked?

So my friend was talking to some guy she didn't know. He kept asking perverted stuff so she was about to block him when her MSN crashed.
She tried to log in after that but it kept saying "Wrong password.". Something must have screwed up her account and it's not a problem with MSN itself since she can log in into every other account from her computer.
Is there a way this guy could have hacked out her password? Could it be some kind of virus? Any ideas?
