Oh, help.

I'm really just about to lose my mind. I come before you guys to humbly ask for someone to help me figure this out because I'm going crazy and I'm not very good with tech stuff.

Okay, so I've uploaded a Powerpoint file to my class' website so that I can continue to work at home. I try opening it with the version of Powerpoint I have here (I'm running Windows XP, and I have Powerpoint 2003). It won't open. Says it can't be read. Then I try to make a shortcut from the programs list to my desktop and the shit hits the fan, because the icon that comes up is a broken file, only half as large as Powerpoint should be, can't be deleted or opened, and Powerpoint is missing from my Programs list.

What can I do to get Powerpoint back, get this icon off my desktop, and work with my files? I wouldn't normally bother you guys but this is urgent.

Short cuts are simple things that redirect to the REAL file. Not another one. And I have an idea, Email it rather than host it on a crappy schools web site. And make sure you have a compatible version of Power point.
