Computer jacked by viruses

Name: Anonymous 2007-12-02 0:17

Computer got jacked by viruses after visiting a link looking for a torrent in /t/. This is the first time I am not able to get my computer back to a good state. I tried unistalling the viruses (adware), system restoring (only letting me restore back to the moment where i got jacked), everything. But the one thing I cant delete is a process called command.exe. Ive tried unistalling it, but it doesnt work. I assume it keeps bringing the shit back on once i delete it.

So Im asking if I am able to forceful system restore back to a previous state today, say...before 8:00pm est. I dont care if i lose documents, i can always get them back. Or maybe you can suggest a decent spyware/adware remover that works.

Basically all I am experiencing is that I have extra uneeded processes popping up, slowing down my internet entirely, making so that popups comes up a lot (I never get popups, even without a firewall/popup blocker). It takes a day and a half to click links.

So any help is appreiciated

http://www.mybtfile.com/torrent/30568736/ <--- that is the link that fucked me up, Im pretty sure since my IE died right after that link.

You might try the Malicious Software Removal Tool from Microsoft:

http://www.microsoft.com/security/malwareremove/default.mspx

It probably won't help in your case, but it shouldn't hurt. It recently (last weekend) got me out of a Parite.B "infection" (quoted because while Parite.B is a worm that attaches itself to executables and screensavers, it doesn't appear to actually *do* anything except make things not work, thus bringing attention to itself).

Now I'm using Avast!'s home edition which is free for personal noncommercial use. Prior to that I had ClamWin installed. Open source isn't quite competing with McAfee and Symantec yet.
