So I replaced my motherboard, cpu and ram. XP boots into Safe Mode, but when booting normally, it shows the boot screen, and then a black screen, and stays there. Is XP refusing to boot because it detected a "new" pc, or is it just my drivers? If it is likely my drivers, what is most likely to be the problem?

Most likely a display problem. Go into safe mode, uninstall the video drivers, and boot into the ugly XP with no drivers. XP may just detect your video from there. If not, search for your video card and errors on google.

The display driver was a problem, and that is fixed now. It is a Portuguese version, and I don't understand Portuguese, but when it starts up it says something like ... Windows ... reinitialazor...
Seems it wants to connect to the internet, but the PC has no Net connection. Is there a way around it?
