Wireless Lan Card won't read

I have a IBM Thinkpad x24 and was given a D-Link AirPlus DWL-G630 wireless card. I put the drivers on the laptop and its wont even read the card. Any ideas on how to fix it, or should i just buy an orinoco?

nah I have to remodulatify the recomboobulator, and I mean you can't get remodulatification chips just anywhere!
