Yeah so i start the computer and it freezes maybe 5 seconds after it starts up. Doesnt even get to the windows loading screen, right after it tells me I have a 2.8 ghz processor and to press F1 to setup its all over. Anyone have any idea what the problem might be? Been told it might be  a power supply issue.

Might be many things. Unless you get some clue from the BIOS, for example a sequence of beeps or an alpha numeric code on the screen, we can only guess and list 10 possibilities which won't help you at all.

I have had this happen a few times where it freezes before the POST is complete, due to some BIOS settings somehow messing up the computer, even though I hadn't touched the BIOS.

Try this:

Turn off and unplug the computer. Remove the small, round battery from the motherboard. Plug it in and turn the computer back on.

If it boots into Windows, turn it off, unplug it, and put the battery back in.

if the screen clears just before crashing, the bios may fail to contact the hard drive

do it the way the crappy techs do. Unhook components one by one, starting with all perepherals (except monitor), then disk drives, then remove your memory (check each stick by itself if you have more than one), then video and pci cards(with the memory back in if removing them made no change). if you do all that and it still freezes, you can try a new power supply, but you've probably got a dead mobo.
I vote that it's a ram issue btw.
