New Computer

Name: Anonymous 2007-09-24 15:59 ID:+D2wz0ji

Around late October I will be getting a new computer. I want to use it for gaming, editing movies, photo editing, whatever else.

I don't know much about computers though. I'll be getting my local computer guy to put it together and recommend some parts, but I would like to be able to take my general idea to them. I also don't want to get something that might be bad/useless. Eg. Wireless mice being worse than regular mice or how LCDs can be bad with ghosting etc.

So do you guys have any information you can give me on what I should get.

Hi...I'm a PC technician myself, 17 years old.
Don't listen to 'Anonymous'. An LCD Screen can always Ghost. It depends on the manufacturer/contrast ratio/quality. I'd go with LG, or samsung, a well known company. Wired mouses are the way to go, get a logitech mx518 or a G5, Wireless mouse technology has advanced today, but it is still not good and precise for gaming, it depends on your sensitivity settings.

Your local PC guy may rip you off as he said^.

Get this, this is a simple High-end machine and will cost about only 800$.
