New Computer

Around late October I will be getting a new computer. I want to use it for gaming, editing movies, photo editing, whatever else.

I don't know much about computers though. I'll be getting my local computer guy to put it together and recommend some parts, but I would like to be able to take my general idea to them. I also don't want to get something that might be bad/useless. Eg. Wireless mice being worse than regular mice or how LCDs can be bad with ghosting etc.

So do you guys have any information you can give me on what I should get.

Because the mouse cord doesn't break, and they're just as responsive as corded mices now. They also hold a charge for as long as you'll probably stay up, and you can fall back on a second pair of charged batteries if the need arises.
