Let's list and discuss common bottlenecks during bittorrenting. The obvious is the (lack of) bandwidth. But there's ought to be other bottlenecks that are relatively easy to correct.

Use a client that implements encryption, like uTorrent, so that your ISP has a less likely chance of throttling your bandwidth.
