tcp/ip illustrated by richard stevens. its a bit dated, but you will not find a better book on the subject.

UNIX Network Programming by Richard Stevens is also good, although I've only read volume 1. If you read an old book, you can now ignore almost any protocols other than IP (4 and possibly 6) and IEEE 802.x (Ethernet and WiFi).

IP Routing, by some indian dude. It assumes you know what a packet looks like.
