Graphics chipsets

Say I get a motherboard that supports the Geforce 8 chipset. Would it be backwards compatible for my Geforce 6 graphics card?

OP obviously doesn't know what the fuck he's talking about, Geforce 8 is not a motherboard supported "chipset", you either have a AGP or PCI-E slot or you don't.

Well I am not an "chipset." You have no right to call me that if I made mistakes.  This site should have some rules about harrassments, threats, and name calling.  I am still in the need of more help in that regards
