japanese games messing up my keyboard?

i've been having problems running shit like melty blood on my computers recently (in b4 weeaboo). both my computer and my parents computer run the programs fine, but when it gets to the game itself, the sprites keep moving up and left for no reason. can anyone help troubleshoot this?

The God of computers games punishes weeaboos. The righteous play American and European games, or Japanese with at least dubbed English voices and text.
