ive got two problems. figured id burden the board with one thread instead of two since i realize im a noob and there's a possibility noone wants to deal with it.
my first issue is this: i want to bruteforce my router to find out what password my brother set for it. i could just reset it but im sick of that and anyway id rather operate with him assuming hes the only one with access. i might play around with the tool for other stuff later but this is waht got me interested in it. anyway, when i download brutus, it's automatically erased by my computer's security detail. im running norton, but i tried disabling it and it still saved the .zip minus the important component, the program itself. how do i get around this?
my second problem is that my other brother is going off to college soon and needs a new computer. where should we get one? what we want is something solid and functional but not expensive. definitely under 1000 and cheaper than that if it can be accomplished. my dad said something about walmart and my gut reaction to buying a PC from walmart is that it's not a good idea.
i got my PC from bestbuy 3 years ago and it still works great. it's eMachines 512 MB ddr sd ram, 325 celeron processor.
